Japan mari!

Seriously, eventhough i was there for 5 (plus 2 days travelling = 7 days in total) days.. I didn't have time to explore Osaka..neither did I have much time to shop for stuff.  Only brought limited things back, mostly edible stuff..haha.. Fridge magnet pun tak sempat nak beli..Sorry aa Kak Ita, next time. :)

I only bought one piece of clothing from Uniqlo..a hooded sweater/jacket..that's it. And I don't know why I even bought it.. aih, probably because I felt like I was leaving empty handed I guess.  But most things are expensive here, because of the currency.. so I guess it was a good choice to abstain from shopping like crazy.

They have the 100 Yen shop here that sells nearly anything and everything under the sun until I got so overwhelmed that I didn't know what to buy. I only bought almond chocolates there.. :p

So these are some of the things that I managed to grab and angkut back here..

I have not tried the cafe latte, but the caramel flavour is really really good! I wish I had bought more of these..
There are 2 packets of the udon noodles in the box. Don't know how exactly I should cook it..will ask my friends how. The ones that I had in Takamatsu were super duper nice.. aaa, drooling just thinking about the big prawn tempuras that came with the udon..yum!
They are only just that cracker thing with nuts (the cracker as the body and the peanut as the head).  Normal tasting snacks but I just love the packaging. :)

A token from the host of the event. We worked together with them for the past few ships. The one with the ribbon is a small mirror (yeah, i know, so me right?) and a lip brush. Mikimoto ni I think is a famous Japan designer for jewelleries..cool pressie :)

Glamorous

Please excuse me, i ran out of a good title...

First attempt to make her smile..result? Auntie je yang senyum lebih-lebih.. :p

Second attempt.. blurghhh..she looks bored with the auntie who won't give up trying to snap her picture.

3rd and final attempt.. Yeay!!! Success! She finally looked at the camera and smiled :) wheeeeee....

Who's cuter??? v(*o*)v

Envy..envious..

Found a few interesting quotes online.  Some are easy to understand while some, you may need some time to decipher what they really mean.

To me, envy is sort of a disease... and am not too sure if it is curable.  One has to seek his/her own solution on how to overcome this sometimes infectious disease.

Interesting quotes:

Envy is an insult to oneself.

Yevgeny Yevtushenko
True...very true.. maksudnya, diri sendiri tak bersyukur dengan apa yang the person already have.

Envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own.

Harold Coffin
Again, we have to reflect on ourselves and be grateful with what we already have. What we don't have? Well, fix our own goal and target to achieve or obtain the things that we want to have in future.  That is how we can push ourselves further and make ourselves better.  The feeling that we get once we achieve something, for instance buying your first car using your own money.. the feeling is priceless!

Envy, like the worm, never runs but to the fairest fruit; like a cunning bloodhound, it singles out the fattest deer in the flock.

Francis Beaumont
People will always envy the person that has the most or the best...or the prettiest..or the smartest..or the most loved by everyone else.  But sometimes we can turn this feeling into something positive. Maksudnya, we will try to change ourselves for the better for example, we will study harder to achieve what that person has achieved. So if we do it right, envy can also be a positive thing.  Use that to push ourselves further and to achieve greater and better things.

Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.

Buddha
This does not need further elaboration..very straightforward and easy to understand.

Fools may our scorn, not envy, raise. For envy is a kind of praise.

John Gay
Yes, envy is a praise to the person that we are envious of... If ada orang envy kat kita, remember to say Alhamdulillah and smile :)

Money money money...

After nearly 7 years, my debts with PTPTN has decreased to a comfortable level.  The total loan received during my diploma years was RM15000. However the total debt grew because the interest began as soon as we graduated, eventhough I continued with my degree that did not stop the interest from accumulating throughout the years. The interest (or they call it caj perkhidmatan) accumulated until I began servicing the loan when I started working in 2005.  The total debts for the diploma loan became RM16502.. and this is not inclusive of the loan for the degree level. Berpeluh jugakla nak membayar..start sikit-sikit dulu.

I didnt have to repay my degree loan because I was exempted as I obtained good grades during my degree..Alhamdulillah. Cuma kesian my hunny as he has to repay both the diploma and the degree loans. Takpe, usaha tangga kejayaan... surely boleh habis jugak nanti :)

As for me, lagi sikiiiiiiiiiit je lagi nak habis. Tak sabar nak habiskan semua.   I have my savings which I can use to repay all at once, but then again, rasa macam bayar installment is better as I also do not want to lose out on my dividends from my savings..sayang.hehe... Insyaallah in 10 months' time I'll be free! Free!!! Freeeeeeeee!!!!!! (Drama queen mode y'all!)

So I wish to those who are servicing your PTPTN loans, good luck and mari kita membayar hutang bersama-sama secara berhemah. Our children and future generations are depending on us to ensure that they too, will have the same education opportunities as we did.

LITTLE munchkins

Babies are always the main attraction in any family.  For mine, my aunt's grandchild is the latest apple of our eyes.  Her name is Tisya...celebrated her 2nd birthday recently, bila ikat rambut dua macam tu sebijik macam perangai Boo from monsters inc..hehe.. She is one very well loved child...for this year's raya only dia dah dapat 17 pasang baju from her nenek, nenek saudara, aunties, her mama and etc.. Banyaknyaaaa..boleh last sampai raya tahun depan. Hehe..  this is Tisya..my lovable but sometimes very mischievous niece :)

Okay, it was very hard to take her picture because she didn't want to stay put!  :)

On hunny's side of the family, the latest addition would be my SIL's daughter. After 4 sons (phew!) she now has a pwincess :)Yeay! Boleh beli baju pink banyak banyak banyak!  The baby is so tembam..putih pulak tu, kalah i..o boy, do i need to start using Fair and Lovely now? hehehe...
I bought her a pair of blouse and seluar, rupanya dah tak muat kot, sebab beli untuk budak 6 months old..Takpe lain kali ada rezeki boleh beli lain.

hehe..sorry baby, snapped a picture while you were sleeping..baby muslimah ke ni? :)

retail therapy..

Now I am grateful that I participated in the employee share option scheme (esos) when they offered my beginning of 2008.  Rupa-rupanya bila berhenti kerja we get all the dividends from all the years that I have accepted the share option scheme. Woo hoo!

Dengan bestnya I was excited to go on a retail therapy session..but of course after setting aside a portion for my own savings.  Alhamdulillah, rezeki lebih ni boleh share with my family and family kat kampung during raya...si kenits la confirm enjoy lebih dapat duit raya :)

So what did I get for myself? (Note: wanted to treat hunny as well but he was never in the mood to buy anything for himself until a few days before raya..bought him a sampin, 2 shirts and a shirt for ayah).

For me.. I got these..

O, this is not actually part of my retail therapy but it is actually for my feet yang dah ada rekah-rekah. Kerja keras ke sebab selalu mop lantai ke jadi macam tu? Boo hoo hoo.. hope this thing works. I want to have happy feet! :)
This I got for Raya to wear with my kurungs.  RM60 for 3 pieces at the Curve's bazaar tapi lepas tu kat Jalan Tar RM10 je for one. Okay a bit of rugi for me but who knew I would be rajin enough to follow my friends to Jln Tar kan? Kalau tau confirm tak beli dari Curve. Gave 1 piece to my SIL.
Last but not least..my all time fave! Got it at Subang Parade..think it was on 40% discount. Berbaloi-baloi :) This pair, I keep in the grey car while the Marc Jacobs I keep in my myvi.  Senang bila keluar mata tidak silau :) yeay!

I also bought 2 pairs of sandals from Charles and Keith (like, like and superlike!).. same design but different colours. I find it hard to find heels that I can wear nowadays, so bila dah betul comfy, baik beli lebih sikit for future use.

And I bought a pair of cute black flats from Scholl for office use.  I guess this shopping spree makes up for the next few months since I will be very busy and hunny will have to go to his weekend classes again.

Retail therapy anyone?

The hunt for kurungs..

Bersempena nak masuk tempat kerja baru.. I went for a shopping spree of baju kurungs (without the other half tagging along :) ). Tapi, tapi, tapi.. I think only 2 are suitable for office wear, while the other 2 may only be suitable for Raya and Kenduris. Okayla tu, Raya nanti pun tak ke mana sangat. Balik kampung pun tak keluar sangat. Eventhough tak keluar, still after tengahari kena tukar baju lain sebab confirm berpeluh2 basah satu baju. Kuala Pilah kan panas.. tak tahan if tak tukar.

Anyhoo..I might still need to buy some more office clothes. And probably masuk office dulu to see what is the norm..nanti beriya-iya beli skirt if tak ramai yang pakai nanti I will stick out like a sore thumb.  So I'd better observe first. :)

And perhaps I will go hunting for more kurungs today.. senang when the other half tak ikut. Boleh try baju lama-lama :).

Breakfast..the most important meal of the day?

What do you guys normally have for breakfast? Yang paling senang and need so little thinking would be just ordering a nasi lemak..and for me, sometimes I order nasi lemak to go so that I can eat it in the office while reading the newspaper or just to have the morning chats with my fellow colleagues. Kalau makan kat restaurant ke mamak ke.. confirm paling senang nasi lemak, takpun roti canai. I don't even want to talk about calories.. that's not what's on my mind when I order my daily breakfast. Nak buat sendiri nasi lemak tu tak dapatla kan.. saya tak teror memasak. Baking still OK!

Sometimes I make breakfast for the both of us, my hubby and I. Toasted sardine sandwich ke..french toast ke, toast and jam paling senang, toast and scrambled eggs. Nasi goreng and other types of nasi belum buat lagi. And I don't know if I ever will. :)

Tak makan brekkie nanti cepat lapar.. masuk meeting nanti perut growling like nobody's business..macam ada tiger in the tummy waiting to be fed. Grrrr... I always have to have breakfast and a cup of coffee..kadang-kadang nescafe. Takde coffee.. i cannot function. Masa puasa? Haha.. minum on weekends masa sahur or after buka je.

Anyway, why am I yacking away.. saja sebab tiba-tiba terfikir that Mcd's breakfast is so expensive now that I don't think it is worth my money to even have my brekkie there (with exception on the weekdays brekkie Rm4 offers).  Selain dari tu, big breakfast ke ape ke nak dekat RM10 and the content is so ciput!..It is not value for money anymore. Well maybe not for me.

Whatever your favourite breakfast picks are..have a great start everyday! (walaupun kadang-kadang still mengantuk macam tak jalan je coffee tu..)

Toasted sardine sandwich, plain toasts with jam and nescafecino (nescafe with foam handmade :) )

IBS Kordial akan sampai ke Kampung Parit Kuala Pilah..Yeay!

At the beginning..saja-saja nak tolong FIL jual kordial ni.  Don't really have a target set on how many I should be selling by when.  At the moment baru je dapat jual sikit-sikit, and that is to my friends and family.  And then my dearest cousin wants to sell the cordials kat kampung. Okayla kan..start small. At the same time dia pun nak jalankan her small business selling facial stuff..memang start small la. Sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi bukit! :)  At least it is a start to hopefully bigger and better things.

Excited jugak to see sambutan orang kampung. Lagi-lagi ni nak dekat puasa. Mesti ramai mem'bantai' the weekend before puasa tu. Siapa tak biasa term bantai mesti rasa pelik. I pun taktau nak explain how this term came about.  Mum selalu cerita dulu, wan pun selalu cerita..tapi tak ingat.  Nak dekat-dekat puasa ni, mesti ramai orang balik Kuala Pilah..busy busy la jalan depan rumah kampung tu nanti.
Botol 2 liter. Tapi lagi worth it kalau beli botol 4 liter punya terus :)

Can't wait for next weekend. Nak tengok ape hasilnya.Jadi orang Kampung Parit bolehla beramai-ramai datang kampung we all.  Nombor rumah pun tak ingat.. adoi.. kena copy paste dari cousin's Fb kejap.

No 22 Batu 23 1/2 Kampung Parit Jalan Seremban Lama 70200 Kuala Pilah, N9
boleh try test rasa air kordial, hasil air tangan Haji Rahim and company.. Haji Rahim a.k.a dad-in-law.  Woo woo!

Kalau rasa-rasa nak order for Raya ke kenduri ke - jangan segan silu untuk contact Haji Rahim di 017-6373387 :). ada macam-macam perisa tapi paling best for me is strawberry, rootbeer, apple.. beli botol 4 liter je terus barula berbaloi-baloi :) hehehehe

Time to spread my wings...

...and fly!

I've said my goodbyes to my team.  Have worked with them..with the company for a good 5+1 years. Started my stint there as a management trainee, for a whole year.  Once done, I went into the Corporate Communications department. Up to point of leaving, I have had 3 bosses.. all cool ladies and great bosses.

I went to Amsterdam while working in ING.  I was among the 3 Malaysians chosen to go for the 3-week debut of the ING International Graduate Programme. Met so many people from ING all over the world.  Was such an awesome experience.

This was followed by a yearly meet up. I went for the 2nd and 3rd meet ups that were held in Hong Kong.  And yes, they also gave me the opportunity to work in Hong Kong.. gained a lot of experience there and made a few good friends. We still contact each other via FB or emails. :)

I have had a good time at ING. Though the new place may not be the same, it is something that I have to undertake now.  I've grown too comfortable with the ING environment. I will always remember my good friends, my sistas whom I met while working at ING :) Till we meet again.

TFTZA has left the ING building!

 Last picture for the road
My tai ka ches ( okay maybe wrong spelling..)
Left to right: Sham who has left ING to migrate to Australia, Ping and Kengka

Last but not least..my two counsellors and good buddies and tai ka che too!
And surely i will also miss this crazy girl. She will only be back in August so I didn't get to see her before I left. Will miss u babes!

Kordial IBS hasil air tangan dad-in-law :)

My father in law (FIL) operates a small factory with his other business partners. He makes cordials.. yang kalau nak minum, you just need to add water. The famous ones in the market would be those by F&N, 7 rings etc.. Tapi my FIL's business is a small one, so definitely not a contender to those gigantic cordial producers.

Siapa suka strawberry of lychee, raise your hand!

With this small business, he managed to raise his 4 children.. one of them of course is my hubby.  It's really hard work.  I think he is probably 64 years old or somewhere thereabouts.  But as the main breadwinner of the family (which is actually just my FIL and MIL as the rest are already working or have family of their own), he still manages the factory and oversees the production and operations of the factory. Then again, for a businessman like him.. if he stays home and retire, for sure akan boring. For sure he wants to stay active and work :)

The cordial tastes good..I especially like the strawberry flavoured cordial. Yumm! Orange, lychee, mango, syrup rose, pineapple, blackcurrant, sarsi, rootbeer.. banyak flavour lain.  Okay correction, I have two faves..strawberry and syrup rose.

So if anybody's thirsty, you can give this cordial a try :)

Update - And if you want to buy the cordials bagi persiapan hari raya or katering ke ape ke, jangan malu-malu untuk contact Haji Rahim di 017-6373387. Botol besar 4 liter pun ada. Beli yang besar terus lagi value for money sebab memang sedap :)

Buying a house.. not as easy as ABC

Buying a house is not an easy-peasy thing.. think again.  Phew! We went through a lot of things to finally have everthing finalized.  It’s not just about the money. But it is also about making sure that we chase after the completion of documents by all parties.. in our case, Sime Darby, Bank and Sime Darby lawyers and Bank Lawyers.

2008
For us we missed out on the promotion period so we knew we had to pay the MOT (memorandum of transfer) which was about RM14000 if I am not mistaken.  First after seeing the house, I secured the booking with a fee of RM5000.  This ladies and gentlemen, came out from my duit hantaran which I got in February 2008.  Ada baiknya dapat wife yang menyimpan like me :). Masuk bakul angkat sendiri.. yeah!

Then we had to settle the bank loan application process.  We requested for 100% loan from the bank. Walaupun it is 100% loan, the peminjam is my hubby and myself and we still had to fork out some cash of our own (hence terpaksa keluarkan duit EPF from mine and his account).    Since it is a big sum so both of us have to share the debts, barula aci.  And in order to get the loan, we had to buy the MRTA from BSN Prudential. MRTA ni kalau in the event of death of payor, then the insurance will pay off all hutang to the bank and rumah tu takla diambilalih by the bank.  This MRTA cost us about RM14000, must be paid in lump sum.  We settled this with the help of sis-in-law..kalau tak berpeluh jugak nak cari duit banyak tu within short period of time. Oopss, tapi hunny pulangkan balik duit (walaupun SIL baik hati nak bagi) but he returned back the money.

Then yang paling penting, make sure the bank do not sit on the application. Lagi lambat dia process the disbursement to Sime Darby, lagi banyak interest kita kena bayar. Disbursement dibahagi to a few times according to phase.  As soon as we get the letter from Sime, kena cepat2 call bank to check whether they have disbursed the particular portion. Walaupun technically it is the bank’s fault sebab lambat, but we as owner, have to also make sure we chase them to disburse payment sebab property developer won’t take the blame either..part ni pening-pening sikit.  Part sign-sign and more signing tu toksah cakapla.. dah jadi macam big boss pulak asyik sign je documents semua. Last-last kena jugak tolak interest about a few thousands, maybe RM2000 taken out from my deposit RM5000 tu if tak silap.. what to do. Malas nak fight.

2009-2010
We got the keys to the house somewhere in August 2009.  At this time I was in HK. Dapat kunci terus pasang the grill, buat additional tiles at the back and plaster ceiling for living and dining hall, pasang lampu downlights for living & dining hall, pasang bumbung kat belakang.  All cost around RM6700.  Luckily at this time I was earning good money. So masa ni senang sikit nak bayar contractor. Alhamdulillah.

2010
I came back from HK.  I saved up around RM11000 for the electrical items and other stuff for the house.  I did the budget and made sure we stuck to it. The main things we bought were a fridge, TV table, coffee table, curtains, curtain rods, table for the kitchen, kitchen cabinet + sink (minimal only), air-cond, washing machine, sofa.  Paid by cash. LEGA! I don’t like using the credit card coz I worry so much over hutang :).  We all pun tak hias rumah ala-ala deko bersama Eric tu.. lagi tak banyak barang lagi senang nak kemas. :)

Tapi of course tak dapat nak beli sofa dari Lorenzo ke, Fella design yang dekat gila with my house tu..sebabnya budget tak membenarkan :) Bak kata orang tua-tua, ukur baju di badan sendiri.  Then again, I am happy that at least we managed to have the basic necessities for the house :).  Walaupun sofa ikea tu nampak cun, still I didn’t buy because they were over my budget.
So we bought this sofa for RM1600. Very basic sofa set.Okayla, tapi quality wise it is not top notch. Nampak macam if duduk more than 3 orang serentak boleh patah kot. Tapi mintak-mintak tahan 3 tahun raya. Eh 3 tahun raya je ke, pastu nak tukar baru?kekeke..
Phew.. am so happy all the hassle is over. Sekarang concentrate nak add on barang-barang for the house if ada extra cash.

So good luck and all the best to those who are going to or in the process of getting a home.  Eventhough it feels very tiring at certain times, but it certainly most rewarding. HAVE FUN and BEST OF LUCK!

editted version : upah buat grille, plaster ceiling, pasang downlights, pasang awning, add tiles was RM6700, tak termasuk the purchase of the lights themselves. Lampu-lampu beli sendiri nak dekat RM3000. tupun ada bilik tak pasang lampu lagi. Ada pakai lampu tak berapa mahal, ada pakai yang mahal sikit. But all within budget.. :)

Plain White Tee(shirt)

Yeay..Sis in law brought something from her trip to Bandung the other day. Nasib muat..phew! I've never had a white t-shirt before. She bought somewhat a matching coloured t-shirt for hunny. Muahaha.. boleh jadi kembar jalan-jalan masa dating nanti..

Okay, most probably I have to wear a bib to cover the t-shirt when I eat or drink. Knowing me.. I am super clumsy for sure boleh tumpah-tumpah atas baju putih ni.. uwaa.. nasib masa kawin makan secara berhemah and did not have any stains on the wedding gown :) Clap clap clap!

Anyhoo..here's the t-shirt. Alhamdulillah rezeki :)

Thanks Kak Liza.. next time boleh bagi lagi...ekekkee...

um-umm.. so GdoubleOD-Good!

one for dad-in-law
One for me :)

I have moved on from the perfumes sold at cosmetics department. To slightly cheaper ones but they smell o-so-good! Another reason is because the bottle can fit nicely into my make up pouch.

Harga quite okay.. for the small ones you can get for below RM100. I didn't quite like the perfumes sold at the Bodyshop dulu-dulu like what 6 years back? Dewberryla apela dalam botol dulu.. but now they have repackaged and changed to nicer smelling perfumes.

Bought a pressie for Ayah (father-in-law) because he liked the smell of the perfume that hunny wore the other day. While for myself.. i got another one..comel je botol dia. And i love the smell..yummy freshness :)

I'm trying to convince my sisters to switch to Bodyshop.. so probably you guys can give it a try :)

Replica handbags?

Replica.Tiruan.Tak ori.Fake goods.

I do not like to be tagged by people who sell fake goods on Facebook. I don’t condone purchasing of replica bags no matter what grade they are.. AA double A or A+ whatever. I believe that if I can’t afford to buy expensive handbags, means I won’t be able to have one. With no disrespect to others who actually do buy replicas.

It is just that I feel that there are so many nice things out there costing a few hundred ringgit. Tak kisahla if Elle ke, Guess ke, Charles & Keith ke, Vincci ke..I mean, you can buy this original handbags at the same price of a fake higher notch branded bags like Gucci, Prada,LV..yadda yadda yadaa.. Why do I say no to fake handbags?

1.Because from what I have read, those in the business of creating this fake goods – are in the same line as child trafficking (for prostitution). So in a way, when we buy the fake goods, the income is used to fund their other illegal business.

2. I just don’t use replica bags, purses, sunnies..etc. Kalau ada duit, beli original, takde duit cukup to buy ori, then no need to buy that brand at all. That’s my opinion.

3. Dari spend RM80-150 (thereabouts) for the replicas, you can get an original elle bag at RM120 especially during sales.

4. Fake bags are just not cool :p

Is it worth our hard-earned money to be owning but just a replica bag?

Create FB accounts to comment on own FB account? For real?

Wow! Sarah Palin created another account so that she can comment on her own account? I mean, this is not news, dah lama jugak keluar. They believe she created this other account (you can read why they think it is hers here - Wonkette). Funny thing is, this other account under the name of Lou, comments on Sarah Palin’s wall (like when she updates status and whatnot).. and sometimes writes on Bristol’s FB wall to show her support and stuff.

Whoa! I think this is a little bit weird. Ada ke orang yang rajin sangat nak buat macam ni? Banyak masa kot, dah tak tau nak buat apa.. or does Sarah Palin feels that tak ramai orang comment on her status and photos hence she needed to do something so that her status updates and all so that she can look/feel popular.

Something must be really wrong right? Macam cakap dengan diri sendiri..biasanya bila cakap dengan diri sendiri orang kata gila..takkan gila kot? I don’t know if there is anybody out there (except for Sarah Palin) who would actually create other accounts (using other names of course) to comment on their own FB account..rajinnya nak buat macam tu! Amazing what people can do to just be (or seen to be) popular. Tsk tsk tsk....

love love me DO..

You know I love you
I'll always be true..
So pleaaaaaaaseeee Love me Do..

wahaaaa.. not too sure if the lines are correct. To kickstart this entry with a nice lil song from the beatles :)

On Sunday 20 Feb, the whole family (hunny's side) went for a family dinner to celebrate MIL's Bday.. it was on SIL's tab.

(o yeah.. i have been on a fasting mode for a few months now.. so instead of always buying for myself.. i bought a bag for someone else for a change. Got this bag for my Mum in Law as a bday gift. Bought one for my mum last year.. but it is way bigger and a different design altogether :) )

Mak hope you enjoyed the dinner and you love the pressie... (the present was given to MIL a few weeks before her birthday so did not manage to take a picture of her with the bag :) )

Since we did not have lunch that day, we decided to stop by this place to eat the savoury crepes. I took beef pepperoni pizza like in the picture below. okayla cuma banyak sangat pepper (that made me sneeze while eating) and chilli. Not too good for the nose..kekeke..

Before the lite snack.. singgah the digital centre to buy baju for the phone ... :)

This bag has a story.. nothing interesting though.. it is just that i love it so much that i use it nearly every single day because i can stuff so many things inside and i just love the parisien feel that it gives.kekeke.. konon. Anyhoo.. it was quite affordable after discount :) Nowadays ELLE has quite a good selection of handbags la.. dulu for me, not so much. But taste among people do differ.. rambut sama hitam, taste lain lain :)

The much awaited present has arrived.. woohoo... We have worked hard for the past few months and i guess this is something that both of us will enjoy eventhough it is mine (all mine!! muahaha).
Hunny has this thing with gadgets so i was thinking of getting a BB for my bday.. instead he said i should get this phone since dia pun dapat merasa pakai jugak :) Hey, sharing is caring right?

See the pink dress it has? Why PINK??? so that hunny segan segan nak pakai in public .. (it is my ultimate evil way to lure him away from my phone..keke..) ..

Thanks for subsidising the payment hunny.. :) Love ME Do!! Muahhhhh!

I think i should do a sign-off... but does that mean i will be a COPYCAT???
Read a blog on the same topic.. will come back with a hot topic later.

Till then..

Response by the Curve Shopping Mall

Just an update.. It's a good thing that both The Apartment's management and the Curve actually responded to my email.. cepat jugak la bertindak.

The Apartment restaurant chain is owned by Chaswood Resources Sdn Bhd (they have other things under their wing like the Teh Tarik Place, Italiannies and etc).

So after the email, the Executive Director of Chaswood Resource Mr Mar**n called me to apologise and we had a short coversation about the whole thing. Then I just asked him to call the Victim and sort things out because I think that is the best way to solve it.

As for the Curve, their PR dept responded as below :

Dear YM Tunku Faradiana,
Good day to you.
Thank you for your feedback pertaining to the unfortunate incident which took place at The Apartment on 31 Jan 2011.

Please be rest assured that we will investigate the case further and will highlight this matter to The Apartment's Upper Management Team.

The safety of our shoppers and diners at the Curve have always been our No.1 priority and we will ensure that this matter will be tabled out the respective parties for their next course of action.

We thank you once again for you feedback and we will advise for The Apartment's Management Team to be in touch with you soon.

Thank you and Happy Holidays.

happy hour turned sour at the Apartment, The Curve..

Karen and moi

the poor girl placing ice on the bump on the head..forgot to take a picture of the snooker ball
this was taken a few minutes before the accident happened.

Malas nak rewrite what happened.. so i am just copying the email that i have written and sent to the Apartment restaurant and the Curve shopping mall.

Read on to know what actually took place.....

I am writing this email to inform you of the incident that took place at the Apartment Monday 31 January between 9.30pm to 10pm where the snooker ball fell (on high impact) from the 3rd floor on Miss Chia’s head while we were having dinner at the ground floor.

We could not comprehend what had happened until one of the waiters happily showed us what had hit Miss Chia’s head. It was a white snooker ball.

The restaurant waiters/staff also did not manage to initiate emergency steps such as bringing an ice pack immediately to lessen (and to actually prevent any blood clot from happening) until I asked for the ice pack.

With this I am writing this email on behalf of Miss Chia as well as my 4 other friends who witnessed the whole incident who may have as well became victims of this horrible incident.

For being such a posh eatery, we cannot comprehend how the Apartment management take the safety of its patron so lightly as the snooker ball would for a fact likely to overshoot its play area - who in the right mind would want to place the game upstairs where fresh players or even bad players would definitely tend to overshoot and hit something and now worse, someone!

Just imagine if the ball actually hit a toddler or a baby. It could have been a fatal accident. In this case, no amount of money will ever compensate for the life of another human being.

Bear in mind the apartment‘s decoration and ambience consist of glass and many fragile (easy to break) items, from glass tables to glass window. It would have been more frightening if it broke some glass and the shards hit all of us in the face!

This is not something that the apartment management should take lightly, same goes for the Curve’s safety/risk and health department (wonder if you even have such department in your management?)

Here we would like to stress that :

The Apartment’s Management

  • The Apartment should have taken measures to ensure such silly accidents do not happen – for such an established eatery to have the silliest of incidents occurring is so bizarre.
  • Please note that we were told that this is NOT THE FIRST time that the ball fell from the upper floor; only this time we were told that it had hit a person on the head!
  • The Apartment Management to contact Miss Chia Yune Une (cc-ed in this email) and understand the concerns that she has regarding this matter
  • While we requested and insisted for the bill, the Apartment made sure that we did not have to pay for the amount incurred. Again, this is not a matter of settling the bill and let bygones be bygones. We want to make sure that other people’s safety is not taken for granted and that the Apartment must take responsibility on what has happened.

The Curve’s Management

  • We are calling for the Curve’s management to ensure that the Apartment within this next few days take the necessary action in ensuring that this accident will not happen again.
  • The Curve management to ensure safety and precautions are met by their tenants – do rounds and checks as such incidents jeopardize the safety and the credibility of this shopping mall

With this, we look forward to hearing the response from the Apartment and the Curve’s management.

Thank you.

Regards

the happy event that turned sour at the Apartment the Curve

Us girls were supposed to have had a great time after not being able to spend time together for so long. furthermore one of the girls came back from Japan for the holidays.

Tomorrow, will write on what happened at the Apartment the Curve.

It really spoiled our day. Period.

Luckily no one was badly injured. Well one got injured.. luckily not fatal.

Will update the full story soon.

I will not go to that place ever again.

spring cleaning..and the first complete entry for 2011

Nak letak jugak 1 gambar to deco this plain entry :)

yeah.. spring cleaning my blog.. boy o boy. Have left this blog unattended for so long. Malas punya pasal.. did not manage to force myself to rajin-rajin update stuff.

Mizzy pun dah tanya tanya bile nak update ni? hehe.. Sorry la babe, the M word was so big that i could not get myself to even open this site.

so this is what i've kept in my file for the past few days.. konon nak update la tapi tak buat buat. Jadi di hari ahad yang hujan memanjang dari pagi sampai ke (nak malam dah pun) petang ni..i pun merajinkan diri to post something.

Let’s rewind and recap the happenings from 2010:

  • Came back from Hong Kong (and missing that busy place)

  • Moved into our new home (yeay!)

  • And did a kenduri plus housewarming after that (double yeay!)

  • Hunny got a new job with better career growth opportunities, great office facilities and definitely a good change of environment for him.

  • And he also got to go to Poland for a month soon after he reported to work at the new place. How cool is that?

So that was quite a whirlwind of happenings and events in 2010.. and we are thankful for all of it. It wasn’t easy but you’ve got to start somewhere.
