7 days alone?

If you think you can survive 7 days alone, then I congratulate you.

As for now, I have not met my friends here for the past 3 days.

I eat alone, I work alone. I shop alone.

All because of the darned flu that shall not be named.

Being quarantined may only be fun, if I were in Malaysia.

And no, I do not have the flu (touch wood) and I do not have the symptoms.

the shopper in me..

has finally been unveiled. A note to Mizzy : CH was nice in the website but not so nice in real life.. so we might have to look at other options.

Got this for myself last weekend, tried to sleep over it and was not sure if I should get one. What the heck, I could not sleep so I went back to the place and got it.

Am so happy.. *wink*

No going to the office until futher notice?

Wow, I don't really know what or how to describe my feeling right now (while grinning from one ear to the other ear). I mean, I pity the poor fella yang kena (the flu that must not be named), but at the same time, all of us who are here under the same programme telah diarahkan untuk tidak pergi ke office on Monday until further notice.. wahaaa!

Still, we have to go to the clinic and get ourselves checked.Don't know how much that's gonna cost us, but as long as we're safe and healthy, I'm not complaining.

I wish the person well and hope that he or she recovers quickly.

On another (happier) note, I just discovered that a friend of mine also knows With Love. You know, the Japanese drama from not so long ago. I mean, I nearly jumped off my seat when the friend to ld me to watch this drama which I have known for ages but had no one to talk to about (besides my sis).

Currently listening to the soundtrack. Golly golly gosh!

The picture frame with the polaroid picture that each of us got.

We had an interesting encounter with the nice people from Starbucks on Saturday. Free Starbucks vanilla frap tasting..okay, happy me.

Then it was picture time. The barista / promoter took a picture of us and both of us went home with a polaroid pic with a Starbucks' frame.

Yeay! Happy Saturday for me and my hunny boo boo boo!

and goodbye for now my dear hunny boo boo

Ice cream soda, refreshing!

At Tsim Tsa Sui

in the MTR, we're tourist!

Us again..we just could not help it. Must ... take... picture....

A bit off topic. This is the view from the 39th Floor, at the reception area.

urrghh.. i just hate saying goodbye. It is just so difficult to say without shedding tears. Jangan nangis, jangan nangis! sekali keluar jugak macam Niagara Falls. Man, and we were at the IFC Mall, waiting for his Airport Express train.

Dang! There's always next month :)

We did not do so much of travelling because it was (still is) so warm and humid to do so. Jalan sekejap aja dah berpeluh, basah baju..

We did find the Kowloon Mosque. Besarla.. not a single Muslim restaurant around. We walked a bit more and got this Ebenezzer's pizzaria flyer and voila! It's a Halal place.

Tapi tak pergi pun because a Pakistani uncle brought us to a building that has many halal restaurants. Alas, not a single place that tickled my tummy.. most of them were kebabs and pakistani and you know what I mean. The place is like Central Market in KL. Too many people and everyone was trying to get us to have lunch there.

Finally we ate at this place called Ali Baba Kebab. It was so-so. The kebab in SoHo is much nicer though.

Oh, I forgot to mention. We took the train to Tsim Tsa Sui, that where we found the places mentioned above.

the start of a new life..in Hong Kong

I said my goodbyes, shed some tears. Didn't know I was ready for the big world.

First day of arrival

HK has really good public transportation i tell u. From the airport, I bought the octopus card and boarded the airport express to Hong Kong Central.
As I stepped down, the taxi place was just in front of my eyes. Cool.

Arrived at the Soho Apartment. It's nice and has a modern touch, except it does not have an iron. Darn.. another item to add to the checklist.

Of course I had more air terjun membasahi pipi. It was just so overwhelming being all alone in a place that is so alien to me.

Second day

Things definitely got better. I only ate Maggi mee the first day. I found Subway Sandwiches and I had the tuna sandwich.. it's not my fancy, but it'll do until I found a halal place to eat or I have sufficient stuff to do cooking

Third day (first day of reporting at Regional Office)

Everything went well. Made friends with a few people and there is one particular person who is very warm and nice to me.. to everybody in fact. She reminds me of good 'ol Karen :)

oh, and I have a laptop. I don't know why. I think I am fine with just the PC . Well, as long as I can do work with it.

Note : It only takes 15 minutes of brisk walking (using the pedestrian bridge) from my apartment to the office. I timed myself the day that I went recce'ing' the office.
