Two!

Yeay..hooray hooray! Today is the date when we said our 'I Dos'.. well okay, no we didn't. We don't do any of that I Do stuff. hehe.. Today is the date when he had cold sweat running down his face (okay, I am exaggerating) facing the tok qadi to do the akad nikah. Dengan sekali lafaz, witnessed by our family members and friends, we became husband and wife.

We're sort of celebrating our second anniversary in our own way. He went out with the guys, lepak lepak saja on Saturday night while I my friend here asked me out for lunch in celebration of my wedding anniversary. Sweet!

I hope for many more happy anniversaries to come.. Meanwhile, this is another song which we used to to walk down the aisle during our wedding reception. Hugs to my hunnybunch!!

p/s: thanks to Anuar Zain for making great love songs that will forever remind me of my wedding day! Hugs to you too! ( eh, can ah? ...hehe)

Mochaccino anyone?

I am a big fan of coffee. The blog title says it all. Never been a fan of mocha..probably because the Starb's mocha drinks are not to my liking. Neslo okay je, sedap je minum tapi when it comes to mocha drinks from the coffee places ni macam tak syok pulak.

I have been drinking lattes and cappuccinos, and too many cups for my own good if I can say so. Reason being we have this buy one get one free coupon from Pacific Coffee here. Most of the time my officemate/s are game for coffee..hehe..memang geng. All we need to do is just show the coupon (they just have to see it, they do not keep it for environmental purposes or probably if collect banyak2 dari customers buat menyemak saje..hehe) and we'll get one cuppa free.

Due to the high intake of lattes and cappuccinos the past few weeks.. I became so bored drinking them..nescafe 3 in 1 that I brought from Msia dulu dah abis. Then I just saw this thing called Mochaccino at Pacific Coffee.. gave it a try... and....

the love affair with Pacific Coffee's mochaccino begins!

Sedap gile!!! Why didn't I try this before? Dang.. I only have a few weeks left..have to stock up/drink up as much as I can. I also got my buddies who were here for a visit hooked on the drink too! Yummy yummy.. bulat lagilah tummy...hehehe... Definitely the perfect cup of coffee for me... wheeeeee...

game for some roller coaster ride?

Image: Travelpod.com
I overheard a few guys talking about the ride. They said it was nothing, they said it was just some kiddies ride compared to the rest. And we believed them, while trying our best to calm ourselves as we stepped closer to our 'kiddies' ride.

The place : Ocean Park Hong Kong
When : On a nice sunny (but cooling) Friday.
The culprit : Yune
The victim : Me ... Miss Sam found a nice spot for a glass of coke and popcorn while witnessing the two silly girls walking towards their doom.
The ride : The Mine Train

What we saw : Just a few loops so it was not supposed to be that bad.

What we experienced:
An out of body experience. My jantung went over my head for a few times. I could not scream due to the level of fright during the ride. ( well, at the same time thinking, 'what if my sunnies fall into the ocean?' (note : the ride was by the ledge and we can see the ocean as we scared ourselves shitless).

Was it worth it?
I seriously do not know. What I know is I shall never, ever go on those type of rides ever again! Happy to have done it but I would not have done so if not for Yune who suddenly added on to my scaredy-catness when she said.. I oso very scared now. What the hey? She was supposed to be the brave one.. apalaaaa!

Was it my first time riding a roller coaster?
Nope. I went to Genting a few years' back and I loved going on the Corkscrew..first time was super scary but I went on for another 2 times and was enjoyed the ride. Did not scream the 2nd and 3rd time.

What's the difference with this ride then?
Besides the fact that it is located at the ledge (the ocean is right down below it).. I guess I am just older now, therefore, I do not need all this heart pumping action thrill-a-majigy anymore. Phew!

I'm going home, to the place where I belong..

And so I've made it official. I have received the letter from the respective person in charge. I'm coming home hunny, and this time it is for good.
My monthly disposable income will be lower now, but heck, who cares... my heart is with him. I am happier now and the burden has been taken off of my chest. Lompat lompat kesukaan!!

Note: hehe..naz now you know :)

To the Peak and back!

This is proof that we walked up, all the way.

To take my mind of the challenging walk, I spent some time taking pictures:)

Once upon a Saturday evening, I received a text message asking, "Do you wanna hike up to the Peak tomorrow from Central?". And to this I answered, "Okay, I'm game." This came out without giving much thought of the challenge that lay ahead. I figured, okay it's going to be hard but I don't think it'll kill me.

Boy was I wrong! Miss SoSho were supposed to go with us as well, but I guess the bed was a better choice for her on a Sunday afternoon. And so off we go, the three of us from my apartment all the way up to The Peak. (we stopped by Park n Shop for some supplies..food supplies that is!..hahaha)

Within 15 minutes of the journey, I was already huffing and puffing. At this point we have not reached the pathway specifically to go up. We were just ON the way to the pathway..OMG! Mich kept asking, "are we nearing already?"

And so we kept on walking, and walking, and huffing and puffing.. (and me praying that I do not faint and go tumbling down). Every time I saw a bench ( they prepare benches along the way for people to rest) I felt like I just need to sit down and rest. But I know better not to do that, I know if I did, I would not be able to continue the walk.

After about an hour (with a-taking-our-own-time walking pace), we managed to reach the Peak. Was I happy! I could finally rest my sore feet. We had lunch at one of the restaurants there, Mich had spaghetti while I had seafood pizza. Yummy yummy! Yup, not planning to lose weight today, but hey, I had lots of fun!

All in all, it was a happy day for us. The weather was great, the company was the best :)

phew! what a night..

Miss M and me. Met her during our first day at the office. sweet, sweet girl she is. I am so chubby..muahaha..
These are the boys from my programme. The joker and James Bond in action :)
With my mentor. And yes, he came as one of the character in Harry Porter.
this is Michael Jackson. Don't have her picture when she was in her element. she's cool!
all the ladies in the house!
With the one but not only Audrey Hepburn.. she even made the ciggie holder (is that what it's called?) herself.

Getting me hair and make up done.
Checking out if I looked too white.

My head felt heavy the whole night (partly because of the big hairdo..haha). I was in the organising committee and we arranged the annual dinner with a hollywoodsy feel to it. The dinner was themed 'A Night with ING Stars'. I didn't manage to get a lot of pictures. But some people really went all out dressing up and stuff. Was really cool to see them.

There was 2 Mike Myers..good jokers they were! Talking about jokers, we also had 2 Heath Ledger version of the Joker. There was an Audrey Hepburn in the house, a minnie mouse (ni macam tak masuk sikit but don't tell her i said this). The funniest one would be Fred Flinstone and Barnie (eh macam mane spell his name?).. gosh, they crack us up. Super funny..and sexy may I add.

The coolest character that night was definitely my very very tall and pretty friend who came as MJ. And she even moved like him.. damn she was cool! She also won the best dressed (female category) award. Way to go, girl! And of course, there were so many James Bond that night..haha..the easiest character to put on I think. There were other great characters but I'm a bit lazy to write them all.

It was a long night no doubt.. ate good food, we played some cool games and then danced until the DJ had to close shop. Funny story, all the while I dealt with the deejay boleh tak tau he was born in KL. He is an Australian indian tapi he can speak Malay, eventhough he said he only knows a lil bit, but can faham lah. What a small world eh?

after some time, I finally made up my mind..

Image:Juiceonline.. don't think this is the one in Penang though. Decorative purpose only.

that it going to be Hard Rock Hotel Penang! Whooooeeeee.. phew.. Hotel/ Holiday hunting is a serious job. I should get paid doing this.

My short holiday criteria :

1. 3 days 2 nights stay - hunny cannot be on vacay for long
2. if we were to drive - the location should be within 2 hours' drive
3. I prefer to go to good hotels - looking at it as our 2nd year anniversary celebration
4. if it is nearby KL - the costs should not be more than RM 700 to RM800 for 2 nights. Should include breakfast.
5. if it is out of KL- my budget is below RM2000

So, both me and hunny were hotel hunting last night, him in Msia, me in HK. Both on YM to discuss which is a good place for the vacay. My choices according to preference:

1. Avillion PD - i just love this place! Too bad they're fully booked.
2. Frangipani Langkawi - fully booked. sob..sob..sob..
2. Admiral Cove PD - the reviews are not too good, so it's a no.
4. Damai Laut Resort and Spa - hunny said it's probably too far.. i guess he just does not want to waste time on the road. Lagi pulak if we get lost along the way.
3. Kuching, Sarawak - Hilton or Damai Puri. We were supposed to get feedback from our Sarawakian friends tapi we didn't do it since I booked HRH.

And then, after consulting Mizzy today..she just dropped me a By the Way email telling me that.. "Hey, btw, Hard Rock Hotel dah bukak kat Penang"..

And I was like..HUH? why didn't I think of that? I saw some friends uploading HRH pictures on their FB..But it just did not cross my mind.

So finally, I did it. Had to call hunny and texted him from here to tell him the news. Dia pun tak tau..haha.. I am Happy! No more hunting..for now!

Note: the total cost of return flight ticket and accommodation (includes breakfast) is just below RM1300, for the both of us. :)

Is it worth it?

Okay this entry has no relevance to my previous entry. That entry will be further elaborated in the near future.

Yesterday, I saw a Chanel travel palette. It’s complete with blusher, eyeshadow and (lip gloss if I am not mistaken)..something like the picture above. I don’t know if it’s worth to buy it because :

1. I use make up but not that much. Am also not a professional when it comes to decorating my face. Half the time I don’t even know which colour is suppose to go to which part of the eyelid so that it’ll have that smokey or non-smokey eye effect ( See! I don’t even know what look that I want to go for!)
Plus, when I got married even the make up artist complained that I don't have enough eyelid space ..bila letak warna tak nampak sangat pun..hohoho..jimat colour make artist tu.
2. It is expensive but probably not as expensive as in Malaysia because it’s at a discounted price.
3. I might just end up with using only the mirror! Hahaha.. yelah, dah make up pun tak terror.. what would I be doing with all the colours?

Now on to the more positive stuff:

1. I won’t get it at that price in Malaysia ( I am beginning to sound like that shopaholic character.. err, and I don’t like the sound of it)..haha..
2. Since it is a travel pack, the mirror is bigger than what you get from a compact powder.
3. It is a travel pack. So I may no longer need to carry all other make up stuff when I travel… Okay, not so sure about this one. But it’ll probably help me in becoming a light traveler.

Hmmm… what do you girls think? Should I or should I not? By the way, my make up palette from hantaran kawin haritu dah dua tahun dah tak habis-habis. Dah boleh buang dah because it’s passed its one year deadline.
Note: I heard that we should only keep our make up for a maximum of one year, termasukla lipstick and such.

Update: Jiwa raga tak tahan.. I bought it. And it was the one final, last, paling akhir (am I trying to defend my purchase here?) stock.
Good news is - takdela besar sangat as I imagined. And all the colours i likey, likey..yeah! Can also fit into my handbag..Good!

Life changing decision?

Let's hope for the best. I am ready to face the music. Some might look at is as me making the biggest mistake in my life and ti may be a silly decision but I know what is important in my life right now. I am grateful for the opportunity. And this does not mean that I am closing the door to other opportunities that may come in the future.

I hope, I pray and I know.. that this is the right decision.

Boleh ke tertinggal passport?

H- the saviour..hehe..

Bolehke? Can this actually happen to someone who packs her small luggage a few days before she takes off and made sure everything is in order much earlier on? It was the scariest experience I tell you. I was already in the Airport Express, and it was halfway reaching the airport. (This was during the Xmas break when I went home for 4 days).

And then while on the train, my mind started to wander off.. macam tetiba je I had flashbacks of things I did before that day. AND suddenly I had a vision of my hand going into this toiletry bag (where I keep my sewing kit, my plastic multipurpose locks, AND my passport) but I did not take my passport then because I didn' want to keep it in my handbag because it was still a few days before my scheduled flight.

Everything was all packed and ready on the day. Beriya iya turun office awal because I wanted to be early. Until, that flashback came to me ..and I realised that I do not have my passport with me. D-uh!!!! felt like knocking my head on the window tapi I still had extra time. Yang tak bestnya because I had to lug around my luggage (walaupun tak berat) tapi nak balik rumah jalan kaki dari One IFC tu and to come back.. aiyaiyai!

I just texted my H, my colleague to say how silly I was. And that text was not an SOS text. It was just a normal text to tell her I left my passport, that's all. And to my amazement she offered to go back to MY apartment and take it for me. She walked from the office (which is located at One IFC, where the Airport Express station is as well) to my apartment and came to Airport Express to deliver my passport. Thankful. That's all I can say at that time. I took the train back to One IFC and waited for H to come. And she did.. with my passport in her hand.

So thank you H. Serious tak sangka.. :) I am forever grateful.

Of keychains and books and other stuff

Just had to buy this fridge magnet/frame at Disneyland and also a very pweety mickey and minnie in a wedding attire. Didn't take a picture of the pair in the wedding attire though..that will go as decoration for the house :)

Finished this already. I love it!
Halfway through.. :)

I like reading easy-breezy books. I'm not a fan of heavy literature..also not a fan of serious stuff, you know, those thick books with small fonts. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Got the keychains while trying to find Fa Yuen Street. That street boasts of a massive collection of quite affordable clothes, dresses and macam macam. We found the road signage, tapi kedai-kedainya tak jumpa. Last time I went with my Hongkie friend and I got myself a few dresses and tops. Ini kedai-kedai pun tak nampak.. It was just a bit confusing for both my sis and I..some more dengan bau stinky taufu tu, adeiiiii, tak boleh tahan macam nak muntah. ( apologies to those who like the stinky taufu but we really could not take it).

Before we went home, we bought a 3 keychains. From Coach. Dekat pasar..hahaha..tapi still mahal so I bargained and got them a bit cheaper. I do not encourage buying fake handbags(after reading from someone's blog that those ppl who are in the fake handbag business, use the money from this business for another business line..which is child prostitution) ..tapi I don't know about fake Coach keychains though. What do you think?
